    Today I tried trading in my old xbox 360 for store credit. The first time I went up to the store a young lady told me that should wouldn't be able to take it without an HDMI cable. So I left and returned later in the day with the HDMI cable. When I returned I worked with a person named Christopher. He asked what I wanted to do with it and I explained this xbox 360 had been just collecting dust and I wanted to trade it in for store credit. Christopher quickly plugged the system up turned it on and started typing on his system and told me that he couldn't give a lot. I told him that it’s OK I checked online before I brought it up here and I know it was only $35 in store credit. He told me no it was only $9 because the Disk drive didn't open. I explained that I just opened it before bringing it up to the store to check and make sure a disk was not in it. He explained that “it was not working now and it he could only give me $9 because the drive was not open. If the drive worked he would be able to give more but it wasn’t working.” I asked him if I could try. He said “be my guest” so I tried and it would not open. I remove the face plate and tried and it worked. I put the face plate back on and told him “I am not sure what happened but it is working now” He explained to me that he was “still only going to give me $9 because some sticker was missing”. I asked “why didn’t you say something about the sticker before?” and he started laughing at me and said “hey man I am just doing my job” I explained that it seemed like he was just looking for reasons to call it damaged. He continued snickering at me and I told him he was being rude and I wanted to speak to the manager. He told me “I am the manger. Do you want the store credit or not” I told him “I wanted the store credit and the phone for the customer service” he told me to “google it yourself” and gave me $9 in store credit. As I was leaving he yelled at me “Hey take your garbage” when I turned around I was confused because I didn’t see any garbage. That’s when he said “I am talking about your box I didn’t buy your box”. Needless to say, it was one of the worst experiences I have had. I felt as if I was being called a criminal or something. Almost like I did something wrong. I have shopped at GameStops for a long time and never been treated so poorly. I am even a member of the loyalty program their and have been since 2011 and had plans to continue shopping there with my son. Now I would rather buy my games online rather than be miss treated like this again.
